Tsuchiura Municipal Funeral Hall

The Tsuchiura City Funeral Hall Improvement Project is a project to construct a new public funeral hall in Tanaka 2-chome, Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture.It is a one-story reinforced concrete (partly steel frame) building with a site area of ​​approximately 9,538 m2 and a total floor area of ​​approximately 4,105 m2. Equipped with a ceremony hall, waiting room, and six crematoriums, it was designed by RIA's Tokyo branch and constructed by Ando Hazama. We created a funeral space that is barrier-free and environmentally friendly, with glass walls that let in natural light and a courtyard called ``Hikari no Mizu surface.''
