Dai Nippon Printing Ichigaya Factory
The Dai Nippon Printing Ichigaya factory improvement project is being carried out as part of the redevelopment of the company's head office area in Ichigaya Kaga-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. A complex facility with a total floor area of approximately 238,000 m2, including a high-rise building with 25 floors above ground and 4 floors underground, will be built on a total site area of approximately 53,800 m2, consolidating offices, a printing factory, and facilities open to the community. Designed by Kume Sekkei and constructed by Shimizu Corporation, the project will create a new forest in the city by moving part of the factory's functions underground and creating a green space called "Ichigaya no Mori" (approximately 20,000 square meters) on artificial ground. This project aims to coexist with the local community, with an office space that emphasizes environmental considerations, disaster prevention, and employee well-being.
