The G.Itoya main store (G.Itoya) reconstruction project is located in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and was completed in 2015 as the new flagship store of a long-established stationery specialty store. It is a steel frame structure (partially CFT construction) with 13 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, a total floor area of approximately 4,195 m2, and a height of approximately 56 m, and was designed and constructed by Taisei Corporation.
Making the most of the narrow site (8m wide), we created a ``Galleria'' that runs from Chuo Dori to the back street, and in addition to selling stationery, we have evolved into an experiential commercial facility that includes a vegetable factory, cafe, rental meeting rooms, and more. This project uses a seismic isolation and damping structure to ensure safety by functioning as an evacuation space in the event of a disaster, creating new value for the city of Ginza.

In this project, we achieved a design that balances functionality and aesthetics for both the interior and exterior. In terms of interior design, aluminum louvers and metal panels are used in lecture rooms, lounges, and library spaces to create a modern space that takes advantage of light and shadow.
For the exterior design, the facade uses aluminum louvers to ensure light blocking, durability, and aesthetics. Furthermore, in terms of material selection, we use high-quality aluminum, stainless steel, and steel panels to create a structure that combines functionality and design.
